Where are all my #controlfreaks at?

The idea of the unknown has always been paralyzing to me. It creates endless what if thoughts. Not to mention the ongoing ideas that continuously have me questioning myself and any decisions I have to make.

Does this ever happen to you? Where are all my #controlfreaks at?

It hasn’t been until recently that I have found out that walking the unknown in life has been my biggest struggle and has guarded me from staying the course, through the good and the bad!

I choose to find the next best thing rather than seek the lesson that comes from the opportunities in those given moments. I guess you could say that consistency, grit, and patience is something I have been working on for years simply because I focus so much on the results and how I want them to turn out, that I don’t see the beauty of living in the moment.

It’s so easy to get so wrapped up in the result that we fail to embrace the journey. With that mindset comes resentment and the likelihood to give up and move on to the next thing. These particular occasions have put my mind in such a stressful place. They trigger unnecessary emotions, and steal the joy of the little things that matter most.

Take my advice and don’t let this happen to you!

Instead find peace in what grounds you. Seek and embrace the opportunities that come before you that allow you to capture present gratitude for what life has given you.

And remember sometimes, it’s quite easy to look at things, situations, or people and simply tell yourself it’s time to bless and release. It’s in those moments that help me surrender control and release whatever negative emotions I have in order to open up to what is next.

I have found so much solitude in living in the country and enjoying the evening’s sunsets. It’s the natural beauty that we are privileged to enjoy each day that brings me back to center and fills me with endless gratitude.

One day not too long ago these views seemed like a far-fetched vision and today they have become my reality; my most valued treasures.

Don’t ever let wanting control of each given moment stop you from living in the present. It’s the here and now action that will lead us to our dreams, goals, and visions.

Be present. Be grateful. Live full out during the whole journey. Lock on to the present and welcome what the future has in store!
